MagicPaper is a document management platform that allows users to:

Upload and store documents (PDF, images, etc.)
Extract text from documents using OCR technology
Automatically classify and organize documents using AI
Search through document contents
Manage document metadata and tags

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
Use the Service for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose

5. Subscription and Payments

Some features of MagicPaper require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

Pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
Provide valid payment information
Accept automatic renewal unless you cancel before the renewal date

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MagicPaper and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all documents and content you upload to the Service.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Processing: You acknowledge and agree that your documents may be processed by third-party services (including Microsoft Azure and OpenAI) for OCR, document analysis, and enrichment features. By using the Service, you consent to such processing as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

Data Location: Your data is primarily stored and processed in Switzerland, as described in our Privacy Policy. However, when using certain AI services (notably OpenAI), data may be processed in regions outside of Switzerland. You accept this arrangement by using the Service.

Your Rights: You have the right to access, modify, and delete your data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. For more information about your rights, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MagicPaper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. OCR and AI classification features are provided for convenience and may not be 100% accurate.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Switzerland.
